Well the ShowMiiWads doesn't region change your wii it just allows you to make the specific wad region free. On a WiiU, though, don't try that, just stick with the ShowMiiWads solution. certainly much better than changing your wii's region.

I think the simplest solution is to install priiloader on your wii and enable region-free channels. Hope this helped anyone having similar issues.

I used Wad Manager v1.3, (extremely outdated) I believe the current version is 1.7. Personally, I have always used MMM running on cIOS 249. For the few that do not work with cIOS, you can use the Neek/Neek2o method. The first method will handle most WiiWare/VC titles and is very simple to set up. I wouldn't recommend changing any other settings than region flag as messing with different region WADs is risky and may result in a brick.Īfter following the steps, just put the edited WAD onto your SD card and install it on your wii via a homebrew channel wad installer app. There are two EmuNand modes: cIOS and Neek/Neek2o. The tutorial is a bit vague though, so here is an imgur album with pictures for each step. I just did this and can confirm it worked flawlessly.

You can for example make it region free or change the titleID. Many of these things can be changed with the Edit menu. Once you added a folder with wads, you'll see a lot of info about every one of them (Name, type, blocks, IOS it uses.). Then browse for the folder that contains your wads.Ĥ. To add your wads to this window, go to File > Open folder. Change the option to I accept and take the risk of Wad editing features.ģ. The first time, it will show a disclaimer.

Download ShowMiiWads and extract it somewhere.Ģ.

Here's the text from a somewhat of a tutorial I found (I don't think linking to this site is a good idea):ġ. You can do an awful lot with that program. Quote from: whyieyesya on February 10, 2014, 10:35:37 pm I found what I was looking for, and now I'll be able to finish everything, and start playing the Japanese MM. Thank you very much for your time and knowledge, I appreciate it. You can find a link to MM JP VC in this thread though. Unfortunately linking to WADs isn't allowed afaik. You can probably find one with Google, I don't know any by name. You just need a WAD installer to install the WAD. You can still install it on newer Wiis though, but it's not as effective against bricks anymore then. It's really the hardware specifications of your Wii that matter. Your Wii firmware version doesn't matter for BootMii. Once I find the WAD, do I need to use something like Gecko, to install the WAD onto the Wii? But I'm having trouble finding the WAD itself. I looked up like, " Majora Mask WAD download " but I couldn't really find anything without having to download a huge torrent, unless that's needed. My Wii is a version 4.1 U, I'll install BootMii and hope it works haha. Quote from: Entanjir on February 11, 2014, 08:52:13 pm How do I get Japanese versions of Zelda on my wii?
